Counterfeit pronunciation

How would you pronounce 'counterfeit', like this 'ka?nt?rf?t or like this 'ka?n?rf?t. I'm watching a movie and the protagonist pronounces the second way, but I can't seem to find any more examples on the web, where people pronounce it like that.
