Counter or aisle?

Hi teachers,

Do British or American English speakers use "on counter 3" to refer the location of an items at a supermarket? I learned usage of aisle here but a sentence I found on a video:

Customer: I'd like to buy some cereal, do you know where I can find it?

Employee: Yes, it's on counter 3. It's at the back. Near the diary section.

Thanks

Aisles are numbered. For example, aisle 4 contains cold cereals, aisle 13, soft drinks and flavored waters.
