Unless someone can invent a special-case example, I should think you can't say "an advertisement of milk". It has to be "an advertisement FOR milk". Yes, you could say "a milk advertisement", but this form is probably less commonly used. All of these wo

Sure, you can say this if you want to, but if you'd like it to be idiomatic English, it has to be "an advertisement for milk".

That's not the way I use "advertisement".
If I wanted to find a used car to buy, I could advertise FOR a used car. If I wanted to sell a used car, I could publish an advertisement OF a used car.
