couldn't have been nicer

Dear teachers ,

What does the phrase "couldn't have been nicer " in the following paragraph mean ?:

1/Jackie & Robin couldn't have been any nicer...they attended to our every need.

2/ "I thought the programme was great! I really enjoyed myself and my coordinator was brilliant, she was always there for us when we needed her, with lots of love and support! So I was very pleased, the guesthouse couldn't have been nicer, thanks so much for everything.”

Thank you in advance

Thank you Nona the Brit, but I'm still confused about it .Can I say "the guesthouse couldn't be any nicer or the guesthouse could be no nicer "?I remember last time CalifJim said " it could be no better = it was not possible for it to be better = it was as good as it could be = it was "at maximum goodness"!

Could you possibly take the trouble to explain in another simple way?
