Could you tell me which would you choose?

Part1) Which would you use?
1) They have no real-life experiences.
2) They have no real-life experience.

Part2) Which would you use?
1) They have no experience in real life.
2) They have no experiences in real life.

Are there any rules I can follow?

teacherJapan They have no real-life experience. They have no experience in real life. They have no experiences in real life.

  • teacherJapan They have no real-life experience.
  • They have no experience in real life.
  • They have no experiences in real life.
  • I would use the ones above.
  • They are all possible, but I like the non-countable version in part 1 better.

I would use the ones above. They are all possible, but I like the non-countable version in part 1 better. I had a harder time deciding about part 2. I think either one is OK there.

I see! Thank you very much for your answer:)

If my observation is right, you guys use the non-countable version, maybe because you think of "real-life experience" as a whole concept.

On the other hand, when you guys use the following sentence, you might use "experiences" to mean more like a number of episodes when he was a pilot, rather than his life as a pilot.
