Could you proofread these sentences?

In Japan, company employees are sometimes required to move to remote places, occassionally to ( ).
(1) another country.
(2) a foreign country.
(3) foreign countries.

Which one of these are acceptable in the blank space? All of them are possible? Any differences in meanings?
