Hi Rita,
I hope you are well, and that everything is good with you. I would like to kindly ask you a question if you do not mind to answer it. I have seen at University vacancy that they posted a position which Professor Jackson is responsible for this position. In fact, I met Professor Jackson yesterday and we discussed about my situation. However, he did not mention anything about this position to me. I would therefore like to humbly ask you if this position is already filled with someone else or not? Because I would not like to spend a time and effort to prepare the application for the position that someone was already chosen.
