Could you please review my writing?

I wrote a story and posted here for your review. I request you to kindly review it and let me know my weakness. I have not completed the story and posted only one page.

I still remembered about the days in Kudal Street when I was in Kanchipuram. My father’s Government job made me to see new places for every three years. Now it was Kanchipuram. Every town gave me a new friends, atmosphere and unforgettable experiences. I was only twelve years old when I moved to Kanchipurm, thin little wisps of hair peeped on my upper lip, half-trouser on my hip, eyes were longing for something and wandering mind. With all these attributes, I landed to that street. Before I came, my father found a good old house in Kudal Street for us to live.



The street had a many small yarn shop for fabric manufacturers. Noisy sound of weaving and hanging of dyed yarn on the side of the street in the morning for drying and milkman milking in front of every house were common on the street. We also arranged a milkman to supply milk everyday. Movie posters and election advertisements mostly occupied on the outside wall of every house. I had never seen and experienced these things till that age. Because in the past days, we lived in a government quarters, which always located away from the town. It looked different to me now.



There was a district library at the east end of the street, till get my new friends I started going to the library. The sleepyheaded librarian seldom allowed us to read the new books from his shelf. So I started reading only what I got in the library. At that time I stopped reading the children comic books. After that, I didn’t know what to read and there was no one to direct me. My mother used to buy a weekly tamil magazine called ‘Vikatan’, my acquaintance with reading of serial novels had started at that time only. Those novels were mostly about emotional family stories. My english language skills was very-very poor to read any books in english and I did not know how to develop either.



During these time, my younger brother started going to a tuition in the evening to one of the house in the neighbourhood. The teacher name called Mani, later we started calling him Guruji. He was ten years elder to me. He had one sister and three brothers, everybody was elder to me.



One day I went to his house to bring my brother and he was playing with the kids after he finished his tuition. I was standing outside and knocked the door, saw his sister sitting with the kids. She woke up and opened the grilled gate and aksed me to come inside. I hesitated. She said “Come on”. She already knew that I was Kannan’s brother. I went inside and told her that I wanted to call my brother. She said”He is just playing here” and asked me the usual question “What are you studying?”. I said “I am studying 8^th grade in the Government high school”.
