Could you please review my motivation letter for master's application in Data Science programme?

Hello, I'm new here. So pardon me if I am posting it in the wrong section. I'll be applying for a master's in data science in Europe and I need to write a motivation letter. So It'd be really helpful if you could please review my motivation letter below and suggest changes needed.

Dear Sir / Madam,

I am writing this letter to express my motivation to apply for the Master’s programme in Computer Science with a specialization in Data Science at the XYZ University. I aim to present the reasons for my interest in the field, why I’ve chosen this programme and XYZ University, how it would allow me to enrich my technical knowledge and at the same time open doors for more job opportunities. My qualifications and some of my key interests are also highlighted in the letter.

Firstly, I’d like to highlight a few reasons why I’m planning to do my master's in Computer Science with a specialization in Data Science. I have been involved as a back-end developer in several projects. During the development of one of my apps, Medicab which is an on-demand ambulance app, I realized if I had taken this course, I would have been able to optimize it a lot more as per the users’ requirements. I felt the need to find the route with minimum obstructions like traffic, potholes, etc specifically for ambulances. Generally, maps services like Google Maps and MapBox are built for general-purpose journeys. Moreover, time is crucial for patients in emergency situations. Also in the urban areas, these obstructions are unpredictable and affect ambulances’ journey at a very high level. So, It was important for our app to find better routes for ambulances with respect to our congested roads. We find the need for building an ML model which would solve this problem.

Another thing that motivated me to apply for higher education is the job opportunities available in Data Science. In today’s scenario, wherein the firms’ decisions are heavily dependent on the data generated in the business and their analysis, these decisions are required to be taken in real-time to influence and attract customers towards the product. As data science has become a ubiquitous technology present in every domain, job opportunities are endless in this field.

I believe that studying at XYZ University is a suitable option for me due to many reasons. I always wanted to study in-depth Data Science and its subdomains. I've been interested in them since I was a freshman in college. I have read a few books from Packt Publications like Data Analysis with R, completed a few courses on Udemy and Coursera, practiced on Kaggle datasets, but still, I find myself lacking in thorough technical knowledge regarding data science and data analysis. Secondly, XYZ University is ranked as one of the top universities in ABC, which is quite a renowned place for higher education around the world. With a well-setup research environment and collaboration with companies and incubators like Science Park, I can expand my horizon and meet like-minded people and scale up my network. Moreover, ABC is a beautiful country with amazing IT culture and endless possibilities to work on innovative projects. These things motivated me to apply for higher education at this prestigious university.

About my education qualification, I graduated with the first division grade from the top college of my state, EFG University in the Computer Science and Engineering bachelor’s programme. During my bachelor’s programme, I’ve gained a solid understanding of fundamental topics related to Computer Science like ‘Analysis of Algorithm’, ‘Data Structure and Algorithms’, ‘Theory of Computation’, ‘Linear Algebra’, ‘Statistics’, ‘AI’, ‘Machine Learning’, and so on. During my last year, I had a unique opportunity to take 4 months of internship in a startup as a backend developer intern, where I had an overview of the professional workplace and sharpened my soft skills. Although I have worked on cloud computing platforms like AWS and GCP during my internship, I couldn’t get the opportunity to explore data science. This has also influenced my decisions regarding higher education.

As I understand this programme is quite competitive, attracting highly motivated students, I am convinced that my bachelor’s academic record and projects experience give me a strong foundation for a place in it. Therefore, I’d be honoured if you decide to accept my application for master's studies. At the same time, I’m also aware of possible challenges and high investments of effort I’ll have to place in order to successfully complete this course.
