Could you please review my ielts writing task 2 essay

Some people believe that nowadays we have too many choices. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

In the modern world, the rapid development of technology including the popularization of internet and the enhancement in other facilities, such as infrastructure, transportation and education system, create numerous options for us to choose. Therefore, I completely agree with the statement that we are now living in a society that has an overwhelming number of choices.

In my opinion, it is an advantage that we have more options because we can choose the most suitable one for ourselves. For example, when I was a little boy ten years ago, there were only 5 channels on the cable TV and only 1 of them was for children. But on this kid channel, it was almost nothing apart from some cartoons which were shown over and over every day. Children these days have a variety of choices for them to choose their favorite form of entertainment. Cable TV are now replaced by the satellite TV, and there are a huge number of cartoons and TV shows for children. Furthermore, kids can also have access to the internet to play video games or listen to music.

With regard to the development of infrastructure and transportation system, we now can travel to our destinations with various means of transport. For instance, if you want to spend your holidays in other countries, you can travel there by plane and it only takes a few hours. Traveling abroad has become more popular and easier than ever. Moreover, due to the globalization, people have more chances to work in a multinational company with competitive salaries. Students could also study abroad which helps broaden their perspective and knowledge about foreign culture and tradition.

In conclusion, I totally agree that nowadays we have numerous choices. However, I do believe that it is not a disadvantage but it is an opportunity for us to decide development plans which are suitable for ourselves.
