The pictures compare the current layout of an art gallery with the proposed plan for the ground floor redevelopment.

First of all, the most significant change in the floor of the gallery is that the exhibition space will be expanded. Moreover, the area which is currently not part of the art gallery will become the special exhibition space.

In the existing gallery, the main entrance locates in the east side, visitors can enter through the door to a lobby that links with the temporary exhibition space. However, the main entrance will be moved to the front of the gallery, opposite the Parkinson court. The walls between the temporary and the permanent exhibition space will be pulled down to expand the permanent exhibition space. There are also more modifications will be made to the gallery’s layout. There is an area to the west of the exhibition space that is not belong to the gallery, but it will soon be designated to become the special exhibition space and exhibition store. To the right of the exhibition space, the education and storage area will be constructing, replacing the lobby and the office.
