Could you please help me with my text?

I find this forum such a great idea and I find it just incredible that there are so many people who spend their time helping with English writing. That is so nice! Your advice has been so helpfull to me over the time. Thanks a lot!
Today I have a little problem with a text I wrote about the German-American relationship. I am really not sure if all the expressions are right and if an English-speaking person would write it like that. Could you please help me and check my text?

The image of the United States in after the elections on the second november 2004
A fundamental examination of the image of the USA in after the reelection of George W. Bush is undertaken by the empirical analysis of articles and interviews. It is premised on the belief that the German-American relationship endures a grave crises caused by cumulative reasons like disagreements over foreign policies and a cultural divide between the two countries. The findings suggest that the public opinion on Bush in has serious ramifications for the unilateral policies pursued by the American President since 9/11. The text poses the question wether the negative views of Bush in reflect a general German-American discord or wether they are rooted in an historical antiamericanism.
The cultural dimensions of both countries are surveyed and the impact of cultural variables on the current estrangement is examined. Finally the fokreseeable future of the political German-US realtionship is outlined.
