The pie charts illustrate the similarities of expenditure between the UK and the US .

At first glance, it is clear that people living in English and America tend to spend a large percent of their money on rent and eating.

English people take a third of their money to pay for accommodation while American just use a forth for the same purpose. However, in the US, the cost for buying food reach 25% , 7% larger than that in the UK.

A minirity of budget is used for transport and going out as well in both two countries. The expense for books in the UK account for 12%, nearly the same with the statistic of the US that is 15%. People also take a tenth from their money for the cost of DVDs.

Ultimately, the expenditure's proportion based on this survey prove that the countries's citizens tend to spend much of their budget on the physiological needs.
