Supplied are the line graph which illustrates the differences of the number of incidents varying in three kinds of crime in New Port between 2003 and 2012.

Overall, robbery took place in the lowest figures while experiencing slight fluctuation the whole period; both the burglary and car theft’s quantity was much higher with significant trends.

In the beginning of this period of time , 2003, the number of cases in which the robbers theft valuable things from the person was roughly 600. At the same time, 2800 car theft incidents and 3400 burglary ones happened. Going though 9 years, in 2012, the how many cases which were recognized in this report, were 750 robberies, 2800 car thieves and 1400 burglaries respectively.

The robbery’s figures reached its peak at approximately 900 in 2005 before following a descending trend to a all-time low of exactly 500 cases in 2008. Repeatedly, it saw a slight increase to 750 ones two years later before dwindling to nearly 600. Finally, this kind of crime rose up a little bit to reach the figure of 750 as aforementioned. Noticeably, the burglary peaked at an all-time high of around 3750 one year later, 2004 before experiencing a significantly downward trend. Detailly, its figures plunged from the highest one to its own lowest one at under 1250 recognized cases in 2008, which was similar to the robbery. Since then, the burglary’s number soared a little bit to 950 and started to remain stable until the end of period. The car thefts remained steadily until 2005, then plummeted to its lowest level at 2000 cases and repeatedly went up and down to 2750 cases, which was just lower a little than its in 2003.
