Could you please help me correct these sentences?

Could you please help me correct these sentences grammatically?

1 I have an easier time gripping (onto) X with my gloves on. My gloves grip, and X won't slip out of my hand.

2 There was mud (stuck) under my shoes.

3 I can't wait until my day off.

4 There is enough paper in the printer to print out my book./for my book.

5 I love the way your name sounds when you spell it.

6 Now that the exams are over with, we can go out.

Is it correct to say

"Now that the exams are over with, we can go out"

Why leave the "with"? I've heard it before but not sure.

With or without the with is fine.

Any corrections I didn't comment on are ones I generally agree with. Mud gets stuck on your shoes, even if it's stuck on the soles of your shoes (i.e. under them). I can't really tell you why.
