Could someone please help me make these sentences grammatical?

1 Who do you think people will think is prettier? Me or you?

2 They hit him so many times they didn't want him to recognize himself.

3 The light doesn't turn off automatically like some places using sensors where if the sensors don't detect movement the lights go out.

4 If you know him well enough to know if he'd buy me a fake, you'd know if this was a fake.

5 The nights seems so long when you are at work. The times doesn't pass when you're at work. It seems like it's 3 am for hours.

1 Who do you think people will think is prettier? Me or you?

This is awkward because of "who do you think... will think" ... To add variety, try something like "Who do you think people will find pretty? Me or you?"

While "find" is generally about searching and re/discovering something, in general usage we can say we "find someone to be attractive/beautiful/ugly/generous/etc"

2 They hit him so many times because they didn't want him to recognize himself.

(either because or split to two sentences, or reword completely)

3 The light doesn't turn off automatically like some places using sensors where if the sensors don't detect movement the lights go out.

Too awkward and repetitious. Try something like:

The light doesn't turn off automatically because there are no sensors.

Rewording this and keeping the explanation there leaves too much repetition unless you spend some time carefully rethinking and rewording it.

Otherwise, you could state the reason at the beginning, like a definition:

Some lights have sensors which turn the lights off automatically when no movement is detected, but not this light.

It still reads a little awkwardly though.
