Could you please help in checking my short writing .It would be great if could make correction ( also give reasons for it )

Inria Trip story When I was waiting for my flight at Delhi airport for Canda ,then I slowly thought where the story for Inria started?It had started in first semester of IKT or more precisely in the first welcome dinner hosted by the college where I happened to meet one of the 4th year senior who had interned in the Canada .He was discussing with group of my classmates his experience about the incredible trip and importance of foreign summer internship in our placements, that moment only I decided to intern in foreign. He told us if wanted to achieve abroad internship then we would need international papers and research projects in our resume. I had made my mind to find good international internship. Most my first semester time I would spend on interaction, senior’s punishment and exams, while the second half was spent on computer and LAN and watching all sort of movies and aurora functions .Then came much awaited holidays for three month and it was feeling like prisoner getting free ? .Major development for internship had started when I got HR0D project through Xna sir after my 3rd year under the Professor .With the help of the project I could develop good relation with my professor and latter on he helped us getting on semantic web project from director sir .We had been doing semantic project for over six months when we made several visit and published international paper and we were only guys whose paper was selected from college .After all this my resume had been ready by December 2002 and with help of Rivnd sir I also made my cover letter. Now another uphill task was to mail university professor .Since I hadn’t had /didn’t have any list with me, so I thought plan to get email address from college sites and from wiki I got list of colleges and labs .Since number of colleges were high and along I couldn’t able to finish it .So I asked few of my juniors (closed ones) to make list and another one to use list and mailed them. I too continued sending mails and in mid January got one positive response from Inria. After that got several offers from other colleges too .
