Could you please guide me as regard to the date...

Hi

Is this sentence OK in formal English?

Could you please inform me as regard to the tentative date by which I can get the amount?

Thanks,

Tom

Sorry, Tom, it just sounds silly! Just say eg Please inform me of the date that I will receive the money. or eg When will I receive the money, please?

I agree with the answer posted by Clive, however the correct use of regard in your sentence would be "in regard to" not "as regard to".

Hope that helps!
