Could you please evaluate my answers for the below grammar questions?

Man: Did you hear that when the Head of Finance offered Leslie a promotion, she refused?

My Answer: D (Confused with C as well)

My Answer: B ( Confused with D as well)

A: Can't you see that my client is in the clear on your illegitimate charges?
B: The account withdrawals are valid; ________, embezzlement is illicit.

kanakarajuYes, if I were in her position, I ____________________ the job too.Note "if ... were". With that combination you can only have something with "would", so B and D are impossible.
You can turn off a light, an oven, a television, or a radio, but you can't turn off a job, so A is impossible.
Only C is possible.
