I obtained my degree in Mathematics from University of *** in 2003 and I have a strong interest in Statistics. My mathematic experience gave me the efforts to understand numbers, numerical data and graphs and their importance, and I have the ability to use mathematical tools and my strong numerate skills in analytical problem solving.
During my studies, I took several subjects including Statistics and other relevant to Statistics fields like Statistics, Probability Theory, Operational Research, Informatics, Combinatorics and Stochastic Processes.
Statistics is almost unique among the major science areas in that the professional skills of a trained statistician can be applied in fields as diverse as medicine, the natural and social sciences, agriculture, education, technology, industry, communications, insurance, marketing and management as well as various aspects of Government.
I find statistics very interesting to study and that there is no better major to use a variety of data analysis and computing tools, and communicate quantitative information to others.
I believe that it opens a wide variety of career opportunities as well. With a degree in statistics my skills will be valued by a wide variety of employers. I am particularly interested in medical statistics and biostatistics, and my will is to wide my knowledge in this area of mathematics and finally work as a statistician in pharmacy industry.
Studying at *** University, will be an exciting and challenging experience and it will absolutely fit into my career objectives and aspirations.
