You are exactly right. An intransitive verb has no object, and so it can't be used in the passive voice form.

But, I want to let you know that some verbs are always transitive, and some verbs always intransitive, but many verbs can be either transitive OR intransitive, depending on the context.

For example;
These roses smell sweet. (intransitive)
Cindy smelled the roses in her bouquet. (transitive)

Henry runs very fast. (intransitive)
The rookie ran the bases in record time. (transitive) In the game of baseball or cricket, a runner has to "run the bases" to score points.
