Could you please, correct my two sentences ?

Please, is it correct to write/say: "My best friend was desperately job hunting." ?

And how about : " My neighbor hardly will have patience to deal with old people and children ."

Thanks,

Adrian

-- OK My neighbor will hardly have patience to deal with old people and children. -- This sounds a little odd in isolation, but a context could be found for it.
