Could you please correct my thoughts on sentences?

Could you please help correct these sentences and which word yo use?
What I think is in bold.

- It takes as long to get home by bus as (by) train. by optional
- Do I get paid double on national holidays?
- I'll be fine when I've slept/ I sleep 9 hours. I've slept is better
- He makes a lot of noise when he breathes/when breathing. BOTH
- If you worked during the day and I at night, I would come home when you left for work/when you would leave for work. left for work
- Who are you making yourself pretty for? ok
- Don't act as if you're sick to make me feel sorry for you./so I feel sorry for you. both
