It was reported by the customer that the machine is out of whack. He said that when he switched on the power to the generator of the machine, It worked fine for a couple of minutes. However, [its power becomes sporadically to be on and off.], [ its power was sporadically on and off]. To [trace], [track down] the root cause, I examined the electrical wire linking to the generator to see if the wire is frayed. However, the wire was still intact. One thing which was abnormal is that the machine kept making an irregular knocking noise from the pump in the pump cabinet. I figured it out that there were several scraps knocked out of the vane. Such a problem is attributed to the worn out vane with a low level of lubricant. For the power problem which was on and off, the excessive load of the vane rotaion contributed to the high voltage consumtion resulting in the unstable power distribution to the machine from the generator. I commented to the customer that if does not maintain the pump as well as the others of the other machines, the same problem can manifest in/on/to the other machines. Furthermore, I said to him that he should come clean about the cause of the problem, since he was unwilling to tell me about the maintenace failure. He should have attended to the problem more seriously.
Thank you very much!
