Thanks to my master's degree I gained a deep knowledge in several areas of studies (i.e. life sciences, environmental management, agricultural sciences, and associated international policies and economy). My academic career also allowed me to acquire transversal skills which are essential for a journalist such as information retrieval capabilities, critical analysis and writing skills
Since graduating from university, I have focused my career on communication and diplomacy. I have worked for two years at the Institute of Public Health where I am responsible for defending France's interests in European and international institutions (e .g. UN, OECD) on issues related to public health and the environment, and for delivering report and critical analysis to the competent authorities. I am also in charge of the communication of my unit (e.g. customer contacts, promotion of our activities). In my previous job in the lobby association XXXXXXXXXXXX, I worked as a policy and communication officer. I was responsible for monitoring the European legislations, drafting and promoting position papers in the European institutions and diplomatic agencies, prospecting for new customers and organising events.
My language skills are also an asset for working as a journalist. I speak fluently and write perfectly in French, Dutch and English, and I have a good knowledge of Portuguese. Thanks to my language skills and my interest in pursuing an international career, I have had the opportunity to work in different countries over the world.
