Hospitality and tourism industry is one of the most growing and developing spheres of economy in the world today due to multiple reasons. One of the most influential ones is globalization that brings people from all over the world together, which in its turn gives growth to tourism and hospitality industry. This sway gives every country an impetus to develop, to improve its domestic hospitable conditions and overall economic situation. is not the exception as it is being visited by huge amount of tourists and business people from abroad, so the tourism and hospitality is an important and fast growing economic sector in our country.

However, apart from the reasons beyond I have my personal aspiration for tourism and especially hospitality industry. I consider myself an open and sociable person and I always had an interest in international relations and dreamed to travel to different countries and meet people. That pushed me to enter international department of *** where I got my degree in international relations. After graduation I worked as a relationship manager in International Department of the ***bank and as a personal assistant to the head of a corporation. Among my duties were to organize meetings with foreign banks representatives, to arrange business trips for the top management, to supervise the work of coffee-lady, drivers and office manager. I really liked my work, but it was different from what I was thinking of in the very beginning. That’s why I want to continue my education in order to improve my skills, to enrich my knowledge in the desired sphere and do my best to become a proficient manager in hospitality and tourism industry.

I’ve chosen as a possible place of study due to several reasons. First of all, it is well-known that Switzerland is the birthplace of tourism with a long history of development in this sphere that led to become recognized as an excellent model of tourism industry. Secondly, Swiss hotel schools were first to establish specialized education programs in tourism and hospitality sphere already in 19^th century. They have also been able to maintain a specific profile, with the combination of professional excellence. And thirdly, getting education at Swiss hotel school and at in particular gives a rare possibility to experience a real environment of international tourism and hospitality business, because itself is already the center of it.

In conclusion, Swiss education gives an invaluable opportunity to get the combination of rich experience of the past and the latest knowledge in tourism and hospitality industry, which I could use for the welfare of my own country. Moreover, if to think long-term then I‘d like to point out that 2011 year will be remarkable for Kazakhstan, as it will host the Asian winter games. Therefore, on the threshold of this important event a huge stream of tourists is anticipated. Also, the sphere of tourism was announced by the President Nursultan Nazarbayev to be the one of the strategic importance. That’s why I think that it’s the right time to start the fulfillment of long-awaited goals and to enter high-standard school in order to apply precious knowledge and experience at home.
