I suggest:

"For the occassion of my younger brother's marriage, I am planning to take leave from 14 Aug 2012 to 21 Aug 2012.
Please let me know if you have any concerns."

This is fine if you are not asking permission. If you are asking permission to not be at work, I will suggest other sentences.

Just need to clarify ,Is it required "For" , And can you please brief me on which cases we will use the "For".

You're welcome.

I would use "for" because you are taking multiple days off, many of which are not his wedding day. So you are taking them off "for" his wedding day.

If you were taking only his wedding day off, I would say "on" his wedding day.

Maybe someone else could clarify when you would use "for" in general.
