Some people think that newly built houses should follow the style of old houses in local areas. Others think that people should have freedom to build houses of their own style. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

There is an argument about whether or not should people build their new houses with the traditional styles in the areas they live in or should they just design them how they want their houses to be. From my perspective, I believe that both of these opinions are valid and worth trying.

First of all, in some places that have old or traditional architecture, people have to follow the culture if they want to make a living there. For example, Hoi An a famous ancient town in Vietnam attracts hundreds of visitors every year for its unique style. Thanks to that, people living there can earn more money from jobs that are related to tourism. So if you want to live there you cannot just build your house however you want, but instead, you have to protect the classic architecture that they are famous with.

However, people that live in the big city or the countryside do not need to follow any trend or culture to build their house since these places do not really have any special styles so they can build their house with their own designs. One of the benefits of this is that you can pick the theme of the house that you going to live in for a long time. Moreover, you can control the amount of money that you will invest in the construction, this is way more comfortable for the owner when they build a new freestyle house.

In conclusion, people should follow the traditional styles to protect their culture if they live in specific localities but for people living in other places it is not necessary for them to follow the culture, instead, they can build a new house with the design they like.
