Could you let me know the difference between "can" and "are able to"

My sentence was corrected as follows. Could you let me know the difference between "can" and "are able to"?

Mine : By adding the RMA function to our new site, I hope that we can acquire more new clients.

Corrected sentence : By adding the RMA function to our new site, I hope that we are able to acquire more new clients.
