I've got a few sentences where I find it difficult to choose the right tense. Thanks for your help!
1) When I saw the vase, I knew it was exactly what I had been looking for (or was looking?) 2) I have never listened to any music of his before. 3) Being in large crowds always made me feel nervous (or was always making me?) 4) Had you ever been to the opera when you lived in Milan? 5) As he was passing another car at the time it was lucky he didn't have a nasty accident. 6) The last time the phone was ringing (or rang?) with me in the shower, I didn't answer it.
