Dear Sir or Madam,
i'm writing for the application to the Master's degree in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology at Groningen University. I graduated in Biotechnology, Agricultural Biotechnology curriculum, at the University of Udine in april 2013.
My passion for this field of study has begun when I started studying it at the University. I decided to apply to the bachelor degree in biotechnology in University of Udine after my diploma, because I were curious about this discipline and the applications that could have. The subjects i've studied during this course, such as: molecular biology, cell biology, genetics and biochemistry, definitively took my interest.
I chose the agricultural biotechnologies curriculum to continue my previous studies at the secondary school. Studying agricultural biotechnologies I learned various interesting aspects about applied biotechnologies in agriculture and in agricultural ecosystems, but the course didn't focused on other subjects in which I hope to improve my knowledge in University of Groningen.
The opportunity to study in University of Groningen will be very important for my personal culture and for several other aspects. First of all I would like to learn and improve my knowledge in the field of molecular biology; cell biology and biochemistry. The collaboration between the University of Groningen and a relevant research center which is the Groningen Biomolecular Sciences and Biotechnology Institute, and the high teaching level tipical of dutch universities will provide me the necessary knowledge to start an ambitious international research career. In my opinion this international experience will really help me in my future job as a researcher, I believe that international collaboration between universities and sharing the results is essential to reach important goals.
My motivation and enthusiasm lie not only in what I will learn during the course, but also in my determination to complete the studies in the way that I planned. Depsite my grade average in bachelor degree hasn't been excellent, I consider myself a good student with mental agility who can quickly learn without too much effort which makes me suitable for your University, furthermore, my socials skills will allow me to integrate in working groups and giving a constant contribute in problem solving and theoretical work.
Sincerly yours
