The average annual expenditure of college students from three countries
The table compares the average expenditure in terms of total spending and other expenses of three students from different countries each year.
Overall, total spending of students in country A is higher than those of students in country B and C. Besides, all three students spend most of their money on accommodation and food.
Out of three countries, students in country A have the highest total spending with $5000 per year, compared with $4500 and 1500$ for students in countries B and C respectively. The proportion of expenses on accommodation of students in country A is also higher with 45% while there are 35% in country B and 30% in country C. In contrast, in terms of food, the proportion of expenditure in country A only accounts for 22% of total spending while there proportion is much higher for students in country C with 36%. Similar to food, the figure is the highest for students in country C with 21% and the lowest for students in country A with 3%. Students in countries A and B have the approximate percentage of their budget on books, which are 22% and 23% while students in country C only spend 12% of total budget on leisure.
