The diagram describes the process of how ethanol fuel is made from corn.

Overall, there are nine steps to produce corn ethanol, starting from harvesting the corn and ending at the delivery stage.

The first step is to collect corn from the field and then put them in a suitable place to ensure safe storage before it is ready for milling. During the milling stage, the corn is ground into a fine powder, which is then mixed with water and cooked for 4 hours.

After cooking, the mixture undergoes a fermentation process for 48 hours, and ethanol is produced after this stage. After that, the liquid ethanol is separated from the fermented mixture and ready for the purifying process, in this stage, some solid by-products are also taken out. It then takes five hours for the resulting ethanol to be purified. During the last step, the finished ethanol is stored before being transported to retailers and ready to be sold.
