Could you help me with my ielts writing task 2. Thank you very much.

Topic: Schools should not force children to learn a foreign language.

Answer

There are arguments that learning a foreign language should not be considered as a subject in schools. In my point of view, I totally disagree with this idea because studying a new language will benefit learners and help them think logically.

On the one hand, forcing students to study second or third language will make students lack of leisure time to focus on their hobbies and increase study burden. First, students will have notime to explore extracurricular that may be useful for their job in the future. For example, if students have more subjects at school, they can not focus on what they like such as art or music. Second, school children are bombarded with more knowledge which increase stress in GPA and grades. For instance, students in Asia take English class as one of the main subjects, so many learners have to take after-school class.

On the other hand, learning a new language will broaden students horizon and train their logical thing. in the new generation, youngsters have to compete with one another therefore students must break the language barrier to win. Recruiters are seeking for the ones who are good at a variety of languages. In addtion, by studying languages, studens will improve the critical and logical thinking. According to many studies, students who learn a new language may result better performance in a wide range of subject.

Despite a few disadvantages in turning a language into a necessary subject, the benefit of deliver this lesson clearly outweigh its disadvanges.
