Dear Sir, Madam,

Bonjour, my name is *** and I am a ***-year-old French currently living in France. I learned about your organization through the database which directly lead me to contact you to apply for this project, and I am particularly interested in spending time supporting it.

I have been a third year student at **** University and I recently completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Biology specialized in Health and food Science. Then I decided to take a break from my studies with the aim of pursuing my education in other meaningful ways such as working on a full-time job and volunteering.
I found out about the Voluntary Service program while doing some researches and I got to know more when I took part of the 1st campaign promoting youth mobility in the country in 2018. Since then, one of my goals was to get involved in a long-term volunteering project that matched my interests in bio conservation and environment because I love being immersed in nature and I have always been sensitized to environmental consciousness.

I like being active and I am opened to new challenges. I believe in learning by doing so the idea of volunteering aboard was the occasion to gain International experiences ,to spend quality time with people who share the same interests on various topics, to bring something new and be useful to others while developing new skills and learning more about myself .
In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities such as nature photography, visiting my Island landscapes, hiking. My other activities include reading, dancing and listening to traditional music, as well as singing and cooking.

I would like to commit to a year’s placement with your organization in order to be helpful to the village while learning more about sustainable Agriculture through constructive and practical tasks on the farm. I have a good background in team working since I got to be part of several projects as a student in addition to being a member of a Traditional dancing team and an oratory club. I also enjoyed being in an artistry class which was a way to enhance my creativity while exchanging with other foreign students. I am proactive, conscientious, and I would like to use my abilities within the Community.
Moreover, volunteering in Finland has strengthened my choice of doing an EVS as I want to improve my English language skills, immerse myself in the Finland culture and know more about the Country.
I feel this opportunity would mean a great deal for my professional and personal growth. I am ready to learn and I would be very grateful if you would give me a chance to contribute to this project.
