The charts given compare spending in terms of schooling, scientists and technicians, and research & development in developing countries and industrialized countries. The figures were given for 1980 and 1990

It is clear that spending on science and education in industrialized was much higher than developing countries. Also, an overall increase was seen in both types of countries.

In 1980, time attending to school in developing countries was just approximately 2.2 years, while with nearly 4 times higher, there were 8.2 average years of school in industrialized countries. After a decade (a decade later?), the figure for developing countries increased to 2.7 years, and the other reached over 10 years.

From 1980 to 1990, the number of scientists and technicians in industrialized countries was almost doubled to about 70 per people. Spending on research and development saw a rapid growth, reaching around $350. By contrast, in developing countries, the number of experts in science and technology was poor, at around 17 per 100 people. Money spending on research and development fell by almost a half to $25 billion dollars
