Could you help me check out some vocabulary questions? Thank you

Hello, Could you help me check out the answers in red ink for the following three questions. Also, could you explain the differences among roommate, flatmate and housemate? Thank you very much

1. At the house on , I had 5 roommates, but I had my own room.

2. In my freshman year of college, I shared a room with 3 housemates. It was very crowded with all of us together in one room.

3. When we rented the apartment, we made a deal with the landlord: we would paint the walls and he would reduce the rent by $ month.

4. Even though the tenant pays the rent and lives in an apartment, it is still the responsibility of the landlord/ landlady to fix anything that breaks because he or she owns it.
