Could you help me?

Would you check whether the following sentence sounds fine?
Thank you.

In term of figures, internet CEOs might be young. However, I think the figures are not important, but rather what they have experienced and what they have coped with.

(Are the underlined parts redundancy?)

Do you understand the sentence without the underlined words? If you do, then they are unnecessary and, therefore, redundant. " Numbers seems better suited to this sentence and its message.

I would not, however, choose the word "figures." Numbers seems better suited to this sentence and its message.

Thank you for your answer, JohnParis.
By the way, could I use the underlined words for emphasis tough they are redundant?
Can the sentence still sound natural if I leave those words?
