Could you tell me whether the following sentence is fine or not?

In the past, marketers tried to touch people with an ad, over and over and over again until they bought it, but now that way is not available because consumers are really good at ignoring you.

In the past, marketers tried to drive consumers with repeated ads to buy their products, but now that method no longer works because present/current(could you tell me which one is better?) consumers are realy good at ingnoring these kinds of ads.
