Could you help me?

I think, in the first sentence, 'kiss' is first, and 'hug' is second. But, in the second sentence, it's vice versa.

Could you tell me wether I am right or not?

Thanks.

=

1. We kissed, hugging each other.

2. Hugging each other, we kissed.

Both happened relatively simultaneously, as far as I'm concerned. The nonfinite verb is just that-- it offers no definitive time of occurrence unless common sense orders the actions, as in 'Quickly reloading the pistol, I fired six rounds into his brainpan'.
