According to Fender, the new guitar Jaguar HH made in Mexico is better than the old model, the Jaguar 1962 reissue made in USA, in electronics and mechanics. Its humbuckers pick-up gives more power and deepness to the sound than the original Jaguar with its single-coils. But it's also possible, through a special selector, switch off the humbuckings and use them as a single pick-ups just like the old original sound. The sustain of its sound has been improved thanks to a new kind of bridge and new mechanic's style. Unlike of its older sister, the new guitar doesn't have a special rubber, that you can put with a lever under the strings near the bridge, to soften up its sound, but it can use the good old-fashioned called Palm-Muted (guitar technique). The cost is around $900 much less than the 1962 reissue that it costs around $1800. Maybe the working quality on the 1962 one is better than the HH, and also the wood that it's used, but it's an innovative kind of Jaguar guitar with new potentiality.
