Could you explain about "It is hard being tall." and " It is hard to be tall"?

#1 "It is hard being tall."
#2 " It is hard to be tall"
------------------------------------------------
I read that #1 is right
but #2 is a little strange because of the nuance and meaning of "to be" .

If you agree that the content at a book is right ,

Would you please explain well easily about it?
one more thing, i 'd like you to interpret #1 ,#2 sentences.
