Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?
Young people enjoy life more than older people do.
Use specific reasons and examples to support your response.

I suppose everyone would agree that young people and older people tend to spend time differently, they usually opt for different pastimes. So which group enjoys life more? Being a young person I am well aware of the enjoyments that young people have. However, I can only imagine how the elderly enjoys its life.

First of all, I ought to say that older people nowadays can get lots of enjoyment from their lives. To prove my point, there is an enormous number of traveling agencies which offer travels in nearly all directions. In my continent - Europe - it is very common for older people to travel to see other cultures, to go for sightseeing. Thus, I presume that a huge part of the older ones enjoy life very much. Moreover, modern medicine has brought a huge life expectancy and better health to our society. As a result, most of the older people can choose pursuits which they like since their health is still rather good.

Though older people can get a lot of fun from their lives, I assume that the youngsters enjoy their lives even more. The reason I think so is that most of them have huge goals in their lives. A case in point, I look forward to get into university, get a degree and start a family. Younger people also usually live a more active life, which I find more interesting, exhilarating. Having these purposes makes me happy. Furthermore, the youngsters can do the same as the older ones do to get most of their lives - they can travel, be with their loved ones.

To recapitulate, I suppose that both the elderly and the youngsters can live a very enjoyable life. However, in my view, younger people's lives usually are more exhilarating, they typically have more purposes in their lives, which also bring enjoyment. Therefore, I suppose that young people enjoy life more than older people.
