Could you correct or confirm the question

Hi teachers,
Needed information: A man stopped in front of a shop and looked at a picture.
If the sentence is, 'At first I felt interested, then I felt angry, then afraid.'
Could this be a suitable question? What were his feelings when he saw the picture?
Is there a better one?
thanks in advance

I've never heard about this one. I think in the interrogative form we use . Did he feel for example happy when he saw the picture?
