Could you correct my sentence?

I need to swing by another customer site while on the way to the customer site where I was supposed to go in the first place because some kind of electrical problem cropped up in there.

(I was supposed to get to my customer site directly but I got an emergency call from another customer, saying that they have an electrical problem on a machine. So, I had to drop by there, since another customer site location is on the way to the final destination)

Thank you! What about the sentences in the blank? Are there mistakes?

No. Just remove the comma after "So", and put one after "directly".
________________

It's "in parentheses", not "in the blank".
