The roles of teachers and parents in fostering culture integration within the classroom should go in tandem.

It is a well-known fact that the students that experience a sense of belonging at school and positive relationships with both, teachers and peers, participate more actively and appropriately in the classroom. This is not a minor fact. That is why teachers and families must work together to foster culture integration.

It is clear to me that this sense of belonging need to be awake in students by the integration of families in the school life. Teachers and directors should plan activities that require the participation of families. For example, once a year they could organize a world food fair. Where the families that belong to the same culture prepare the typical dishes of their culture and then share them in the fair. Apart from that, the teachers can design activities that request students to ask their families about their own culture or other culture they are familiar with.

In order to achieve efficiently these kinds of activities, families should be notified about the cultural integration program that the school has implemented. I consider important that families get to know how important is the cultural integration in school. They also should know, that is not only a work of the teachers but of families as well. In this way, parents will be more liable to help their children and to participate actively in the activities the school ask them.

All in all, teachers and parents have to work together for the cultural integration, but as I see it, the teachers and directors should plan the events and activities that they will be carry out. Furthermore, they have to inform in advance to the parents, what they will be required to do in order to accomplish the cultural integration program.
