Could you comment on this please?

Hi,

Could you comment on the following please? I need "In this study" to refer to the " study of X and Y" , not the current one. Does it?

"In the study of X and Y, the burnout seen among librarians had a significant relationship with work experience, age group, and level of education, but had no significant relationship with marital status and income level. In this study, higher levels of burnout were observed among librarians who have been providing services in the library of their work place for more than twenty years."

Thanks!

The text you are showing us here does not mention the current study, so this study refers to the study of X and Y.

It might make your intended meaning clearer if you simply delete 'in this study'

ie In the s
