Could you comment on the following please?

"A continuing increase in UC incidence worldwide and a lack of study that investigate the effect of saffron, as an antioxidant compound, on this disease lead us to design the present study to evaluate the effect of saffron supplementation on antioxidant status and severity of disease i n UC patients."
