Dear Mr.x

I enjoyed the news of your children and family. Since I’d like to see your children’s growth, I hope to get some of their photos. It’s difficult for me to imagine “Japanese Hibachi grill” you wrote. Is it like a barbecue or “sukiyaki”? I’m interested in a word “Hibachi”, because we Japanese don’t use that anymore. Hibachi is an old type of stove. When I was a child, we used to grill or cook rice cakes or foods on it. It is nostalgic goods. By the way, I’m looking forward to use chopsticks with your children. I’m still busy. Now I’m a dean (in a certain way, one of the 3 vice rectors) of dormitory affairs, but my term will be over in the end of March. However a rector of our college wants me to continue this work. I’ll do this job for 2 more years. My study on river mechanics will be finished in 3 years. The area faced Japan Sea had a lot of snow this week and it was very cold. In my home town, though there wasn’t much snow. We are driving on frozen roads everyday. However I think Fort Collins Colorado is much colder than here. I took some pictures of a few Shinto shrines and a Buddhist temple in this New Year holidays around my father’s home. If they turn out good, I’ll send them to you.
