Could you check the below sentence please?

"Since noise sensitivity is the most significant factor for noise annoyance, and noise sensitivity is considered as an attitude, the present study investigated the effect of educational intervention on noise annoyance."

To me it seems peculiar to call noise sensitivity an "attitude".

"Noise sensitivity" is repeated in the first and second part of the sentence. Doesn't it matter?

It's not the most elegant sentence in the world, but I wouldn't say it is wrong. How would you word it to avoid the repetition?
